From the looks of it, the property industry will be able to function under level 3 of the lockdown period. We assume that estate agents are included in the business that can go on during Level 3 on 1 June 2020 as announced by President Ramaphosa after the 66 days of restriction during lockdown.

We are hopeful that the new regulations will allow all estate agents to perform all their functions, as long as they put in measures to prevent the spread of the virus. It must be noted, that the final Regulations are yet to be published and there have been previous hiccups regarding Regulations that had been published which did not follow the President’s directive.  We will keep you in the loop regarding the developments.

As much as we look forward to returning to life as it used to be pre-COVID 19, we urge everyone to continue to wear your personal protective equipment such as face-masks, disinfect all surfaces regularly, and maintain a safe distance from each other.
