Corné Nunns and Theresa Tannous of Millers Inc are members of FISA (Fiduciary Institute of South Africa) and obtained their FPSA® in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

The Fiduciary Practitioner of South Africa® (FPSA®) designation is the new standard for fiduciary practitioners in South Africa - it is a mark of quality and peace of mind for consumers of fiduciary services in Southern Africa.

You may ask why it is necessary to consult with an advisor who holds the FPSA designation instead of an ordinary attorney, accountant or financial advisor. As the FPSA® designation is proprietary to FISA, it is only awarded to FISA members who must have at least three years of practical experience in the fiduciary field and must comply with ethical requirements to apply to FISA for the FPSA® designation to be awarded to them. While many persons may claim to have knowledge in these areas, an FPSA® proved it by passing a stringent examination.

By using someone with theFPSA® designation, you will know that you are dealing with a person who has demonstrated:

  • Academic knowledge by obtaining a formal qualification and the required level of appropriate experience;
  • The ability to apply the knowledge;
  • A willingness to be bound by the ethical standards of a profession;
  • A commitment to maintain levels of technical knowledge through a continuing professional development (CPD) programme.
Millers Inc offers specialised services in the following fields in the fiduciary services industry:

  • Holistic estate planning;
  • Drafting of wills – local and off-shore;
  • Trust services - including registration of new trusts (family trusts, special trusts, PBO trusts); amendments of existing trust deeds; appointment of trustees, analysing trust deeds to determine validity of trust, rights of bene
  • Administration of curatorship estates and estates under administrations

The FPSA® designation is becoming the accepted standard in the fiduciary industry.
