THE TRANSFER PROCESS IN A NUTSHELL
The steps are determined by the contract, do not always follow this order and sometimes more steps are required:
- Both the Seller and Purchaser are informed by a telefax or SMS or e-mail that we have received the contract of sale
- One of the attorneys will peruse the contract
- Para-legal obtain information and outstanding documentation
- Collect deposit if applicable
- Follow up on bond approval
- Request Title Deed and cancellation figures
- Draft the documentation
- Arrange for and attend to signature of documentation by both parties
- Request pro forma costs
- Obtain guarantees from bond attorneys and collect purchase price if applicable
- Obtain rates clearance certificate
- Obtain transfer duty receipt
- Arrange lodgment
REGISTRATION IS EXPECTED IN APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS FROM LODGMENT.
